Loops with Love

Ava (8) and Luci (5) Lange received the CCAI-Henan Partnership flyer in the mail and was so moved by the photos of the babies waiting for adoption Together with their mom they launched a project - Loops with Love, to hand make looped pot holders to raise money for these children. They set a goal of 100+ pot holders and planned to sell them in the month of November to celebrate National Adoption Month.
The project fast became a rewarding and learning experience for Ava, Luci, as well as their friends and people in their church and community. A local toy store gave them a discount on the loops; their church did a special Sunday on Adoption, and their friends helped to make and sell the pot holders in their neighborhoods. They made and sold a total 145 pot holders and raised $1087.00. After talking with Xia, CCAI’s Charity Director, Eva and Luci decided to use the money to build a Milk Preparation Kitchen for Xuchang Orphanage in Henan Province.
A child can help change the life of another child. In return, it gives both a priceless gift. A huge thank-you to Ava, Lucy, their parents Diana and Bob, and everyone who supported the project of Loops with Love.
