CCAI Sponsors Rehab Training
|
102 front-line caretakers from 90 orphanages across China have been selected to receive a two-week intensive rehabilitation training for children with special needs at ChangshaOccupationalCollege in HunanProvince from August 6 to 20. “The purpose of the training is to ensure that our orphanage caretakers have up-to-date knowledge and skills to care for the children in their orphanages, especially those with physical and emotional handicaps, who represent the majority of the orphanage population,” stated Mr. Lu Ying, Director-General of the China Center of Adoption Affairs, the key organizer of this national training. On behalf of the CCAA and all participating orphanages, Mr. Lu thanked CCAI for making such a large-scale and much-needed training possible through a $40,800 grant.
At the end of the training, caretakers will undergo an exam prepared by the China Health Association and, if they pass, will receive a National Occupational Certificate of Rehabilitation and Health. Thank you to all the CCAI donors who believe in and support our vision of “teaching the skills and multiplying the impact.”
