Who We Are

Josh, Lily and Senator Wayne Allard
CCAI co-founders Josh & Lily receive Congressional Angels in Adoption Award from Senator Wayne Allard
When the People's Republic of China opened their doors to international adoption in 1992, Lily Nie and Joshua Zhong, CCAI' co-founders, felt the calling to open their hearts to helping abandoned Chinese children find loving families in the U.S. Lily's background in Chinese law and Joshua's background as a missionary, combined with their love for children, made the decision to get into adoption an easy one. From the start, they believed that adoption should be personal, non-profit, and in the best interest of the adopted children.

We live that vision today: China adoption is our focus, specialty, and passion; families benefit from our specialized and personal service; and our adoption costs are among the lowest in the field of China adoption.

If you've contacted some of our references, you've already heard of our excellent customer service. From application to your trip to China, we go above and beyond to provide you with accurate information and personal service. Many of our staff members are adoptive parents. We can relate to your experiences, expectations, challenges, and joys.

Every member of our staff has a specialty and you will work with a team of specialists as you move through the various phases of the process. Our 30+ dedicated representatives in China not only have reliable working relationships with Chinese officials, but also speak English, Mandarin, and the local dialect of their region. Communicating in the local dialect, a language that government officials and orphanage employees take pride in, ensures a warm reception and efficient service while you travel and during your adoption finalization.

Communication is one of our strengths. CCAI has a 24-hour call return policy, and we provide weekly website and phone updates regarding travel, child match, special events, and our cultural center activities. The In Touch and Circle informational newsletters are published on a monthly and bimonthly basis. Each family is also given a password to check their personal paper trail on-line. We believe in empowering our adoptive families with accurate, current, and honest information.

Happy FamilyToday, we are more than an adoption agency. While adoption remains our specialty, we established the Chinese Children Charity Fund in 1995 to help those children left behind in China by providing food, clothes, medical care, education, training, and foster care. Since 1996, we have run the Joyous Chinese Cultural Center to ensure that adopted Chinese children across the country will have a link to their heritage. CCAI works toward improving the lives of abandoned Chinese children, whether they have a family in the U.S. or are waiting for one in a Chinese orphanage.

The more than 7,200 Chinese children placed through CCAI with families all over the nation (and in 15 foreign countries!) are a testimony of our exceptional service, experience, and love for children. We invite you to work with CCAI and live your own success story.
