Chinese Children Charities, a charitable child placement agency, seeks short and long term volunteers (one to six months) to care for children living in the Luohe Social Welfare Institute in Henan Province (Click here for pictures. Mouse over to enlarge image.)

Who is qualified?

• Any adult, age 18 or older, who has a passion to love and care for children
• Those who have a love for the Chinese people and their culture
• Positive, self-motivated, and hard-working people
• Those who have childcare-related skills (not required but preferred)
• Additionally, those who have any of the following expertise: nursing, early childhood education, general education physical therapy, management and leadership ability, or medical knowledge (not required but preferred)

What will be provided?

• Basic childcare orientation and training

What expenses must be covered by the volunteers themselves?

• International and domestic air travel, as well as local ground transportation
• Daily meals
• Touring
• Medical insurance
• Other expenses of a personal nature
