Chinese Classes for Adults Our Adult Mandarin language classes meet on the 1st floor of the CCAI building. Classes are held on Saturdays at 9:45 am, 11:00 am and 1:00 pm following the Joyous Chinese Cultural Center’s calendar.

Everyone is invited to participate in our Mandarin Chinese classes for adults. Classes will include some of the curriculum that our JCCC students are learning, basic conversational Chinese, and some interesting facts about Chinese culture. Classes are low-key and fun, and a great opportunity to learn some Chinese! Please don’t feel like you need to already know any Chinese in order to attend. Classes began on September 15 and will close on May 10. Tuition is $6 per class.

You are welcome to come regularly, or whenever your schedule allows. If you have not yet tried a class, please don’t feel like it is too late to drop in! You may start at any time, and attend regularly or when your schedule allows. Feel free to drop in and try a class. Your first class is on us—no charge!

Adoption Travel Language Class

This 14 week class will teach some basic mandarin to support you as you travel to China to pick up your beautiful child. You will learn some phrases to assist you with greetings, shopping, eating, introducing family, getting around China and in the hotels, meeting your child and the orphanage staff and talking with your child about basic needs. The curriculum will not only benefit you in China, but will also be a support once you have returned home. This class and curriculum is also a great resource if you are traveling to China on business or for pleasure. (Minimum 10 student enrollment)
